The Strand Centre, run by the Strand Community Trust charity, is a vibrant hub in Dawlish promoting inclusivity and community connections. Volunteers play a vital role, gaining skills while supporting diverse activities.

Central to the Centre is the Inspire Café, known for its locally sourced, on-site meals and friendly atmosphere. The Centre hosts a Men’s Shed for crafting and skill-sharing, support groups for dementia and recovery, a toddler group, and assistance for the homeless, including meals and professional guidance.

As Dawlish’s largest flexible venue, it accommodates art exhibitions, concerts, markets, and private events like weddings and family gatherings, making it a cornerstone of community life.
