Dawlish Fundraising Committee are holding a Indoor Fete at the United Reformed Church on Friday 5th August and Friday 12th August 10am-4pm There will be various stalls including plants, books, etc. Also cakes and cream teas will be available. Free admission

Michael Jecks is a successful writer of medieval murder mysteries. Many of these feature west country locations and characters. His books are widely read and have been translated into several European languages. This evening he will talk about his life and work. Tickets: £8 (under 18's £2)
This lively and enterprising group from Exeter makes its third Festival appearance. Four of their solists and pianist will perform a varied and attractive programme of solos, duets and other ensemble items. The members of Stormforce come from the Dawlish-Starcross-Kenton area. The children's drama group will present an original, imaginative and specially devised entertainment for Midsummer Day. Tickets £4 (under 18's £2)
Christmas Day Dinner at the United Reformed Church Dawlish. The lunch is open to those on their own(singles or couples) It starts at noon. There is the traditional Christmas meal also a visit from Father Christmas. Lifts to and from the church are arranged. A 30 minute Crib Service will take place at the United Reformed Church on Christmas Eve. The Service mainly for the under7s and their parents (and grandparents)will take place at 4pm. If possible the youngsters are asked to come dressed as shepherds or angels to take part in the tableau.
