Yes, Tesco should be encouraged. A bit of price competition would be good for Dawlish shoppers.

Its such an easy solution. The bowling green, an amenity for 0.1% of the town, should be moved to the Manor Grounds. The plot can be used for a play ground. You've had the plot for years old folk, and its never too late to learn, so how about learning a whole new word:- SHARING. Move aside; you selfish old c**ts.

I think it says a lot for this forum that it allows you to publicise ad nauseam a putative rival. Given the free speech available here, and the likelihood of heavily-moderated pollyanna-ish propaganda on any site named 'ilovedawlish'.....I shall be staying right here. I can imagine your rubbish topics... "Dog shit - good for your roses" "Seaweed - what a charming fragrance" "Torching ...

Check out this new charity shop in Queen Street. Its the best one in the area, its for a good cause, the prices are the lowest around and the girls who run it are nice. My wifely Empress made a donation of a bag of her clothes last week before we returned to the Orient.

Agree that there should be a playground on the Lawn. Pity that it is aping Teignmouth quite so lamely, but their concept is so good that it deserves emulating. Not that this is much consolation to the kids affected.

Having had the opportunity to wrap up maggoty banana skins and mildewed bread crusts, I can only conclude that you guys must be nuts ! Why tolerate this bunkum? You should be voting out any councillor who imposes this nonsense on you. If you got paid - even 10 pence - for your recycling, then okay, fair play, but you don't get a farthing. I have lived for several years in the Third world, and I ...

Wifi in Dawlish

Is there adequate wifi coverage in Dawlish for laptops? Is it free? (i.e unsecured access) Thanks

I agree. What shall we - as an unstoppable community force - do about it?

Clearly some kind of quality control is needed. Not censorship, but just weeding out the ... "sgispghspoig - yaroosh, yog yog," ..i.e the illiterate stuff. It is important to focus on the real issues. 1) Dog pooh. 2) Over-sexed old age pensioners. 3) Corruption in the town council. 4) The scarcity of charity shops.

...they don't count, they're not human. Ditto for the cellulite-based species occupying the Somerfield check-out.
