was lucky enough to get front row at Powderham last night having queued from 10.30am for a good spot to watch the Bay city rollers, The Osmonds, David Essex and David Cassidy, and what a fantastic day we had...despite the many heavy showers it cleared about an hour before the gates opened at 5pm. We started with the Rollers and Les Mckeown being as cheeky as I remember in the 70's they put on a great show and had everyone singing along......next the OSMONDS, and the reason for me being there, what can I say, they are just so proffesional, they looked fantastic they sang fantastic and they put on an amazing show, all too soon it was time for them to leave the stage, the love they have and genuine affection for their fans or friends as they like to call us is just so clear to see, they were brilliant!! Next on was David Essex, still looking great and sounding great, again we could all have a good sing along to the oldies and enjoy the new material he gave us. Then it was the turn of David Cassidy, I have never been a fan but liked some of his music in the 70's but OH dear, I found him really......odd!! so full of himself and he had this fake smile on his face the whole time......very insencere. I didnt enjoy his performance but that could also of been down to the fact we had some very drunk cassidy fans push their way down to just behind us when he came on and they were rude obnoxious and disrepectful claiming to "love you david" they shouted over every thing he said and i felt sorry for the lovely Cassidy fans that we had enjoyed spending the day with before and during the show.
Would like to see more of these shows, we had a fantastic time thank you Powderham!!
