Re most recent posting...
Have you never been told you put a capital B for a toen ..Bradford. Most of the recent postings seem to show something about the standard of english from schools. I take it most of those are teenagers... by the grammer.

Have you seen the scruffy dressed children as they go to Dawlish School and is this acceptable ? ..does the Headmaster care ..do they have one ? ... this is probably why Dawlish is how it is..fall out of school, fall into the pub ! lol

Nothing wrong with Dawlish and the World ..it's the people in it.
(thought it would be best to re post ..as a new subject ..rather than get muddled in with dogs!)

Dawlish School is full of Vicky Pollards.

I thought teenage girls wanted to look nice, this rabble look like a sack of sh*te in their crimplene slacks.

Seems my post has left everyone lost for words? Surely someone has an opinion on the school or on schools in general. Our future parents in the next 5 years or so can be seen walking down the road this afternoon! ..go see !

I blame the parents.

The way your kids look and dress, the way your kids talk, and the way your kids act (in the home and in public) is all down to their parents.

That is my opinion.

Thank you !
My concern is the future adults.

I was in a shop last week and overheard a young girl teenager ask ..'have you got like ..one of those like things that go in your hair like ?' ..
How many times is the word 'like' said in an average sentence? ..like !! lol .listen out for it.

When you say "Young Girl Teenager" i think you will find that the sentence you are looking for is "Young Teenage Girl" . See we all have a lot to learn regarding our Grammar and English. It is not always the young people of today.

No wonder so many good contributors have give up on this board. People just seem unable to be constructive. Why?

Why do you say that people seem unable to be constructive. Surely everyone is entitled to write down their own opinions and views. We are not knocking anyone, we are just saying that we all need to check our grammar and English from time to time. No one is perfect i am sure you will agree.

See, its all started again.

It seems impossible now to have topical conversations without interruptions and guff about grammar and spelling!

There is always going to be people in this world better educated than yourself, just like there will be people less educated. That's the way life is. Just like there is someone out there with more money, and somebody with less money, than yourself.

Luckily, English Language has always been my strong subject.(Despite one of my recent joke letters contradicting this)!!

You might just as well blab on about old men having huge ears. They can't help it. That's just the way it is.

Check that one out, it really is true. But don't stare at the next old man you see!
I believe its because ears never actually stop growing till the day you die. There, not a lot of people know that.

That's it now, I'm off on holiday for a week.

Hmmmmmmm... there is much in these postings about spellings and grammar. Is it intended as a joke? The original posting refers to the "standard of english" (sic) and "scruffy dressed children". Some further work required here on capitalisation and the use of adverbs. People in glass houses should not throw stones.
