Last month it was announced that after years of local lobbying by councils and teachers for more cash, the Government has announced the south west will get a five per cent increase in per pupil funding in the next financial year.

The school has been cut by an average £478 per pupil since 2015, which has badly affected the school. Class sizes are above average. Class sizes rose from 26.2 pupils per class in 2015 to 29.2 in 2018. Cuts are above average. Cuts are equal to the salaries of three teachers. Funding is below average, and child poverty is above average.

Yes indeed. The increase in funding that has been promised merely moves the budget a little back to the funding lvels of 2015 and does very little to address the shortage of money in schools.
