I can throw the wife in when the skip arrives.

Unless you live by the Coronation Avenue car park you will need a car to get your bulky rubbish to it! Those who have access to a car don't usually need a a rural skip service because they can take things to the dump themselves albeit an inconvenient distance. People that don't have a car (who are usually the poorest), what help do they get? It costs them at least £28 for one bulky item https://www.teignbridge.gov.uk/recycling-and-waste/special-collections/bulky-waste-collections/charges/.
 

I will get Mike the barrow man to do it, it only costs a fiver.
