Looking at the results and listening to the so called top brass of each party, itis no wonder people fail to vote. There were less than 50% in each place that stood to gain a vote. Speaks volumns!!!

At least UKIP are now finished at a local level. Which makes them finished full stop, as they were already an irrelevance at a national level.

UKIP got the result they wanted - job done!!!!! or nearly done. So they do not need to do anything else.

It was UKIP sweeping the board at the 2014 EU election that forced Cameron into promising a referendum on our EU membership.  We have Farage to thank for Brexit, so UKIP was very relevant until its aim was achieved.

Like I said, UKIP were already an irrelevance at a national level. And thankfully their vile policies have seen them also wiped out at a local level.

burnside you are spot on Farage should be given a medal it was his doggedness that forced a referendum on our membership of the EU and for that we owe him a debt of gratitude.
