Vandals Lighting Fires On Sand Dunes

A group of local youths around five or six in number have been using the sand dunes at Dawlish Warren as drinking dens and vandalising the area by ripping up wooden fencing installed to protect the local nature reserve and using it to fuel their fires.
Visitors including children have had their feet cut by broken glass bottles or burnt by fires which have not been extinguished properly.
Text books found in the area are from Dawlish Community College. Police are due to visit local schools and issue warnings to those responsible not to continue with this sort of behaviour.
