I am coming to Dawlich in the Whitson week and i'm wandering what there is to do for 16 year olds, also what is the weather like this time of the year :>

Vandalism, spraying graffiti on walls, being disrespectful to elders, making a racket, smoking, snogging girls from Dawlish Secondary Modern School.

...actually I withdraw the last one, they're all hideous.

That post says it all - young people may as well not exist as far as Dawlishians are concerned. They are just viewed as a nuisance. I'd steer well clear if I were you - its a dying town.

Well said Mindful.

I wanna go ... and wanna go now !

There is something really spooky about the people and business in Dawlish.
People post to seek genuine information and get no sensible help at all.
Dogs seem to be the favorite topic.

People shouldn't take life quite so seriously.
Uncle Fart's (alias Emp) posting is only a light-hearted look at the youth of today.
Don't read too much into it.
Let's all get out more and enjoy ourselves, we're only on this earth once and for a relatively short period of time.Enjoy it while you can.

Whats 'light hearted' about slagging young people off? Its not funny. Face it, Dawlish IS a strange place and I am so glad I am out of it.

About 25 years ago there was a story in the DG about a couple of French teenage girls who sunbathed topless on the beach. Halfway to Dawlish Warren, nowhere prominent.

An old geezer walking his dog saw them, was outraged by their 'dirty pillows', picked up a handful or rocks and started stoning them.

Craptastic! it must be like living in Taliban Afghanistan !

Did anyone get any pics of these 2 lasses, or their phone numbers?? Not sure wot the four would look like now though.

Back to youths.Where I live, which shall remain nameless, cars are continually being broken into, car badges nicked, aerials snapped off, stuff stolen from garages and sheds.School windows smashed, old folk being kind to callers and then having their cash pinched.Bikes being taken, objects thrown from bridges onto traffic below, so on and so on.OK,not all are youths, but the majority are I'm sure.Or they're illegal immigrants.Swines, the lot of them.Life is crap as it is,without all this.

Its drugs related. There is a massive drugs problem in Dawlish. But its kept quiet so as not to worry potential tourists.

We had loads of stuff nicked from cars, including badges. But its not normal youngsters doing it. You;ve got too many drifters in and around the place.
