Thanks to the 'Home Choice' schemes homes have to be built where people want them. Unfortunately one of those places is down here.

I just wish - with all the money that has been spent - that cyclists would use the cycle paths. And 'Yes' I know I'm coming in for some flak on that post!

The major problem with the pedestrian 'crossing' points is that they don't actually signify anything. They're not Crossing Points in the normal sense (i.e. Zebra, Pelican, Puffin, Toucan or Pegasus) so they are ambiguous. As many people believe, they do not give priority to pedestrians but merely raise a driver's attention to the point by having red coloured tarmac. A Drop Kerb does not ...

No, there really can't be. And add to that Bill Millin's connection to the town. We wanted to get some streets named for them but were told we needed to contact living NOKs to get permission - unfortunately we don't have the resources to research that so nothing has been done.

£10K?.......I'm wondering why we're only spending £200 for a sound system for PITP! Will get back to you on that one Micheal.

The UK should bin the May Day Bank Hol and have one in the Autumn. How about a Remembrance/Armistice Bank Hol?

'Cy' Barton was definitley not known as 'Joey'! There is an account together with a replica VC at Barton Surgery (No, it wasn't named after him. Barton is an old name for a farm). I don't see the issue. The article states: "Current rules mean a deduction is not made if the young person is claiming Jobseekers’ Allowance." Perhaps I've mis-read it.
