Section 8 Company registration is the process of legally establishing a not-for-profit organization in India under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. Section 8 company registration  are formed to promote commerce, art, science, sports, education, research, social welfare, religion, charity, or any other useful objectives, without the intention of earning profits. The process involves obtaining a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) and Director Identification Number (DIN), choosing a unique name, drafting the Memorandum and Articles of Association (MOA and AOA), and applying for a license through Form INC-12. Once the license is issued, the company must file the SPICe form for incorporation. Upon approval by the Registrar of Companies (ROC), the organization receives a Certificate of Incorporation, enabling it to operate as a Section 8 Company. Profits or income of such a company must be utilized solely for promoting its objectives, and no dividends are distributed to its members.
