A 73-YEAR-OLD Dawlish pensioner with an addiction to sexual interest in children has been jailed today. Stephen Clark admitted inciting a seven year old girl to engage in sexual activity not involving penetration in March 2024 after communicating with another adult who was thought to be the child's parent called Dirty Bernadette. NOT even Storm Chandra has stopped the Black Swans of Dawlish. The pair Bert and Kimba have been seen mating again just hours after their nest of six eggs was washed away. Their nest and another built further upstream on banks of the Brook where Mr Blue and Mrs Pink, the other breeding pair had laid several eggs, were both washed away. Read more... ...

DAWLISH railway line will have to close overnight to allow reprice of a large sink hole which appeared after Storm Ingrid. The large hole, measuring 8m by 3.5m appeared near the line act Sprey Point between Dawlish and Teignmouth. BOTH Black Swan nests in Dawlish have survived Storm Ingrid but they now face another onslaught with an Amber warning of more heavy rain from Storm Chandra. The Brook running through the town is already high but volunteers from WADE Waterways Around the Dawlish Environment will be monitoring water levels and adjusting sluice gates to control the flow. DAWLISH has suffered for the second time in three days as Storm Chandra brought a torrent of water through the town. The colossal amount of rain has led to roads being waterlogged and warnings to stay away from the Brook until water levels drops. An amber weather warning for rain is in place for parts of south-west England alongside yellow weather warnings for both wind and rain. Part of a historic pier washed away and a sea wall protecting the railway line at nearby Dawlish partially collapsed and train services were suspended between Exeter St Davids and Plymouth on Saturday. A section of the railtrack wall at Dawlish has been damaged as Storm Ingrid unleashed heavy seas on the exposed railway line. The collapse of part of the railtrack wall at Sea Lawn Terrace has left debris on the railway and allowed sea water to ingress onto the line. THERE must be something in the air in Dawlish as a second pair of the town’s famous Black Swans is now laying. It is the second active nest in Dawlish and made by another loved up couple. TOWN councillors in Dawlish agreed to a £5,000 grant for major improvements to the Strand Centre.
