Thank you Lynne. I see that, in part-compensation, they say that from Dec 2018 , GWR "will double the frequency of services between Paignton and Exeter to deliver a 2 trains per hour service as part of Devon Metro." We shall see.

DJ is right, of course, about withheld numbers. Even Barton Surgery's calls come up as that.
It's all too easy for the timewasters to circumvent the TPS. My best defence these days is Call Recognition - I simply don't answer to withheld numbers, overseas callers etc. They can leave a message if they're genuine.
I've never yet quite got to the point of smashing a car window to save a dog's life, but it's come pretty close sometimes.

A friend has been waiting for months for an op that she really needs. When I studied law (in the Bronze Age) the example always given was "the freedom to shout 'fire' in a crowded theatre" (when there is no fire, of course).
Certainly the Smugglers gets booked up very early for Sundays; but then it's not in the town so maybe it wouldn't suit you best anyway. I'd agree with S's suggestion of the Marine.
