After seeing store bought pre-made kiddies birthday cakes, I decided to set myself a challenge and produce one cheaper, can be made by ANYONE and from easly accessed local supermarket products AND it took me just 10 minutes to make I think I succeeded on all fronts? @Andysport - goodto finally meet you. how were the smoked mackerel? i hope you managed to fillet the other ones quicker etc this time? Apples? Yes please! Never need to ask if chef if he wants home grown produce ;-) No new baby as yet. But it was the mum to be birthday on Sunday and our eldest grand daughters birthday today. Well it will commence "directly", not due for completion until mid November. Work will be conducted daily between 11.30pm and 06.30am, from what I remember from the leaflet posted though my door. So a few sleepless nights for me, as I live close by..... so be nice if you see me looking drawn and tired (also expecting a grandchild any day soon) BUT, will be nice to have the trin station ...
From the sounds and looks of it, day 01 of the bridge replacement has began. Workmen down there now (Sunday 00.10)

@neilh - sorry neil, but andysport beat you to it (as they are home smoked and preservative free, i prefer them to be eaten quickly) but i will get out on the weekend and see if they are biting and smoke some more for you :-)
