It's excellent that your business supports these causes, especially the Air Ambulance, so why don't you get some good free publicity by issuing a press release, including a photo with the obligatory large cheque (non-NatWest of course lol!)? That would be a far more productive use of your valuable time than slagging off potential customers on here.

@MugOnHead . i don't moan about their prices! and i look forward to reading a press release from your business that shares similar good news. one with no vested interest, of course.

Well done to the staff at Sainsbury's Dawlish, for raising £1700 for Richard's Wish since they opened last year. That's a superb achievement and is in fact a higher sum than that raised by their Alphington branch for their own nominated local charity. Dawlish customers can nominate their favourite local charity by filling in a form in the branch until May 23. A shortlist of 3 will then be made and ...

hopefully prospective purchasers will have a more positive outlook to life than @wondering , and realise that there's a lot of scope there to increase the turnover, given a little investment and imagination. if it was me, i'd firstly find out why residents like nelson haven't eaten/drank there, yet have eaten/drank in every other eating establishment in town.

I've never been in to Home Kitchen, but I would have thought that it would be snapped up quite quickly. Obviously its the leasehold thats for sale and its not clear how long is left on the lease, but an asking price of £59,950 for a £70,000 turnover business might be worth a punt as there's got to scope for increasing that t/o.

Good news for the tourist industry and for residents who enjoy our beaches - if only the people responsible for maintaining the beaches round here would properly clean/clear them more regularly.

Ah sorry, my Googling failed me. The Tory paper candidate resignation only 2 weeks after winning at the ballot box, was followed by a by-election. The co-opting that I mis-read about was after a much later resignation by an independent. Apologies for the inaccuracy.

This is a matter that the police are aware of. I'd expect that the ABH or GBH that Sniper is inciting would, rightly, result in the perpetrator being brought to justice. Don't take justice into your own hands, just phone the police on 101 if you see or know the man described by Ziggy.

Oh yes, I seem to recall, now that you've reminded me, that someone with no party political allegiance was co-opted onto the Town Council after that paper candidate put up by the Tories got elected at the ballot but then immediately resigned. You could never imagine a Tory-controlled council co-opting an independently-minded candidate, could you?
