Ten Green Bottles (fine foods and gifts) and next door neighbour Jack Sprats (cafe restaurant), look like being two fantastic additions to the Strand. Work has really progressed with the shopfitting, and I can't wait for them to open!

They've gone. After just 4 days and the site looks tidy enough. Still it gave the usual suspects the opportunity to have a pop at the council, so it wasn't all bad.

Land despoiler's for that is also what they are, unwanted visitors because they always are. If fact there are a million things one can say about "travellers" and all of them negative.

To be fair, they don't look like pikeys, but more like grockles who are too tight to pay at a campsite.

Good luck to those nearby - make sure everything is locked up and that anything of value (metal, tools, etc) is safely stored away and put out of sight of the pikey scum.

One third in the south east is a rather large proportion. I completely agree with you about the anti brigade that is a festering sore in Dawlish. Nothing will inprove whilst these NIMBYs in DARE continue to get the platform that their small numbers do not deserve. Onwards and upwards though, life's too short to be wasted on those small-minded Daily Mail geriatrics - it's a lovely day in Shaldon.

Oh well, it wasn't to be. Clearly you need to already have a Town Centre Manager and be located in the South East of England in order to increase your chances. What a farce!

Good idea. I have, and it seems that the landowners will legally be entitled to tow away and impound vehicles that are parked on their property. Some people are questioning which is worse, clamping or impounding.

Will private landowners be able to tow away and impound vehicles found parked on their private property?
