Brazilnut, the Deputy Mayor, seems that it may not follow that the usual protocol is carried out. Flo - uncomfortable is the word is was looking for, and I agree about the Gazette using EoD a lot, bit lazy really but still it's better than hacking into someone's phone....

Eyes of Dawlish is sometimes interesting, sometimes useful but often an unpleasant scandal-mongering tool. Is it an appropriate place for our town councillors to moan about each other? It is one thing for residents to make comment/pass on rumours but, unless to contradict/substantiate, should councillors get involved? I'm referring to the current thread regarding the next Mayor, but it is not ...

Thanks Webmaster, I'm a spanner at this stuff!

If like me you are fed up with cold callers constantly ringing the website to use is http://www.tpsonline.org.uk but if you google it the top listing is telephonepreference.org.uk . Don't use that one they charge you for it - it's a free service. This sort of thing really grates. I've seen this for other things too - the European Health Card for one. Like most people (even if they won't admit it) much of my family's food shopping is done at a big supermarket so not having to drive so far saves money and time. However there are some things they don't sell that I can get at shops such as Poppadums and nobody can beat the doughnuts at Wee Shoppe! So handy but not the be all and end all.

As far as I've been told most of the lawn area is in the flood plain area and no building allowed (I'm assuming that where the Pavillion was proposed was not covered) To have a play park on the lawn similar to Teignmouth's would take the entire available space there, simple fact - the area is pretty much the same size. What about a decent one at Sandy Lane and replace the one there that is ...

You can't build anything on the lawn - it's in a flood plain and environment agency won't allow it. One of the ideas mooted was for parking by Ugly Duckling but that won't happen either. That's what knocked the idea of a new bandstand on the head. If you knock it down you won't get planning permission to replace it - absolutely blinkin' ludicrous. BTW Scheme A for me - finally might breathe a ...
