Harrison's Revamp
24 Jun 2010

Agreed. Harrison's is prominently on view to anyone driving through Dawlish. For people who don't know Dawlish, it acts, unfortunately, as a "shop window" for the town as a whole and gives an impression, to me at least, of seaside tackiness.

I think that it can be very difficult to judge the speed of a silent object at night because you may have little idea as to how far away it is. If you were to take it for an object at a distance when it is actually a lantern and quite close, then you might well think that it was travelling pretty quickly.

FEL-699, Thanks for the post. I hope that I do not come over as mocking. Neither am I trying to convert people to my opinions - if there is any intention common to my posts, it is to try to stimulate readers to question their ideas and beliefs and to continue to think about them rather than set them in stone. I know one person who used to post here but, with the names people use, it is difficult ...

FEL-699, I cannot see that your post is a response to mine. I am interested in your opinions and why you hold them but have no interest in exchanges where we sneer at or abuse one another. Don

FEL699, You say, "I DON'T give a crap about legality when the defendant uses TECHNICALITIES." Is this not another way of saying that you have regard for the law only when you agree with it? Any criminal or anarchist might say the same. The technicalities are, in fact, part of the law. However I agree with you about morality. I have my own code of ethics that I use to guide my actions. However, ...
