What other landowners could access Secmaton Lane within the DA2?  From my memory of the document handed out at the Leisure Centre all the housing is in a straight line from Sainsburys Roundabout to Gatehouse Farm house, this was the only piece of land that has direct access onto the lane, or am I wrong?

Who could avoid the link road? Can you explain?

I agree a lot of people in council/affordable housing work very hard and no matter what they do they will never afford their own home this in Dawlish is not helped by seasonal low paid work. That is why there should be 'life homes' where rents are set on income and those who earn enough to buy elsewhere pay more to support the rents of those who are not in the same position.  Just because you ...

TDC were prepared to sell the allotments at Lanherne to a developer and it caused great concern as noted at TDC.  Here is the Document below.  At the time I just about remember Cllr Clemens saying it would be better to put affordable there if anything.  I am guessing the reduction of allotments would be added to the number within the green infrastructure in DA6. ...

Thank you Lynne However, we keep looking at affordables and not the whole picture of what we want for Dawlish, a vibrant place and society.  What I am to say might not be what some might want to hear, but looking at other councils they have adapted their housing to acheive this. TDC woud be better getting the money in leu for the affordables not wanted at South Down and put it in a ...

Barton Surgery

This is why the people of Dawlish wanted a new surgery near the new developments, but were the residents listened to, no.  Now all that will happen is there will be more traffic in town and thus causing gridlock.  There is also the fact that there are no designated parking spaces for those using the Barton Surgery, and with the extra people there will be more competition for parking spaces.  So ...

In the 1930s, properties at Dix's Field, Exeter and Steepway, Paignton were purchased for use as domestic training hostels for young women. A farm hostel was founded on Langton Farm at Dawlish and a seaside holiday home was opened. In 1948 , the institution was transferred to the National Health Service, and became merged into the Royal West ern Counties Institution Hospital Group, which ...

Thank you Lynne, this list of dates is very helpful.

I have again copied and pasted it and it takes me to the 'Public Notice and Annual Forward Plan – March 2016', so I do not know why it took you to CIL.  Tried it a few times before i copied and pasted the link, very strange, appears to be working now!

I see that Teignbridge have the DA2 Development Framework marked down for the Executive on the 17th May 2016!  Is this enough time to sort out the problems?  Could they secure funding for the link road in such a short time?  Or are they to try and slip it through with minor amendments and without taking it back out to a second round of public consultation, which would ensure that it is legally ...
