@Carer - thanks for the info. i know the luscombe estate sold the land that mr stone built meadow park, upper loglands, etc , estate on back in the 1970's. i thought they would only sell large sections of land, but i suppose it depends how much they can get for a slice of land these days. Wouldn't be surprised if the 1.5 acres sold for this new development was as much as the entire acreage ...

Just a few pics of the newly opened sea wall, only taken 18 months to complete.

Only happened to notice the application sheet being blown around on a lamp post outside 64 Meadow Park on a walkabout this evening. The application sheet had the 24-07-15 as the post date and the end date for objecting to the proposal was today! Two previous applications for the same site for 2 dwellings has been refused twice before. The only other notice was at the end of Upper Longlands ...

On a walk I noticed these trenches dug in a field. Anyone have an idea what they may be for? There is extensive home building going on in the local vicinity. Just curious as to the reason for them. Seems a strange thing for agricultaural purposes unless they are some sort of drainage system.

My neighbour resolved the issue of garden waste disposal a long time ago. He dumps it in the alley alongside his garden. He even took the mesh fence down that borders the alleyway to gain easier access to it. Over the years (decades) he has decreased the width of the ally by some 4-5 feet and built this mound of waste soil and garden material nearly six foot high and over 30 foot long.
