Gary, it was said that Dawlish needs saving. Building these homes will not destroy Dawlish, it doesn't need saving from these homes. I've already said that I agree that the mitigation is needed re infrastructure - that's what should be fought for, not the cancellation of building. This is what I have to put up with A Frame. The bullies don't like people standing up to them and go crying to the Webmaster when they do. The bullying of Margaret, Bernard and co caused those two accounts (points 3 and 4!) to be banned. I've never denied this. How will these housing developments destroy Dawlish?

I've agreed with Linda and Lynne's posts. I can only assume that the ultimate consideration (and one that authorities are legally bound by) in all tendering processes is that the lowest/highest bid that meets the requirements of the ITT will be awarded the tender.
Ziggy, do you know why no-one else could drive the float? Did they ask for a volunteer driver until the usual driver has completed his recuperation?
I can't recall reading anywhere of a request for assistance with the driving duties? I'm not saying that volunteers would have queued around the corner, but I sincerely hope that the lack of cries for help isn't another case of insularity by the committee. Maybe it's an insurance thing? However if it's true about the 'royal family' being selected as a result of cronyism, then that casts yet ...
