I am not convinced that many who have rushed to sign the petition have read the approved Plan Teignbridge and so: Adopted Teignbridge Local Plan (6th May 2014) page 122 DA7 Dawlish Warren Coastal Park An area approximately 22 hectares is identified at Dawlish Warren to create a Coastal Park which shall: a) include suitable alternative natural green space and recreation ...

My goodness, no wonder people hate the prospect of OFSTED inspections. What precisely do you mean by " That was not well received by those keen to have the cultural pavilion built."?  Can that possibly be construed as yet another dig at the person you constantly accuse of being committed to the recently exhibited Lawn proposals?  Do I detect a sneer there? From the beginning of the bid ...

Gosh, I am the demon again. I was not blocking your nomination to the Town Centre Working Group. The point, to which you appear to have turned a deaf ear, is that the Group is managed by Teignbridge with the Deputy Leader as chairman, and having made it clear at the outset that he wanted a small and effective group, there are only two places for town councillors.  Now, I believe it is important ...

@Margaret Swift 21.50 As the only retired architect on the Council, I can see that it is me, again, that you want to string up from the lamp posts for the weak design of the banners as well as for a modern bandstand design.  Well, I drew neither.  The banners were a project of the Community Interest Company and developed by the Town Centre Development Manager who asked for Town Council funding ...

I have found the drawings for a new bandstand prepared for the Millennium, and the Planning approval given then (but expired in 2005). There were objectors to that one too, which was of a more traditional form.  Peter Large was on the Council at the time and Chairman of Finance and General Purposes, and when we need finance ....................but I won't speculate and cause offence. Your ...

How good to see that the Town Council contribution towards rebuilding the float has been appreciated.

@Annother46 A civil question so I will answer you.  The RIBA fee scale for architects is an established scale on which to calaculate professional fees, in this case up to Stage C -Sketch design.  As well, there were fee costs for structural engineer input, and quantity surveying input.  Other costs accrued to a Flood Risk survey and an environmental survey - all of which are necessary elements ...

Anyone who has listened carefully to explanations of the Coastal Communities Fund Third Round process will know that one condition of application is that a Planning Application had to be submitted and registered, for the Bid submission to be valid.  Now I know that small alterations to homes are sometimes drafted on graph paper in the kitchen, and give barely adequate information for a planning ...

The agenda item is "To consider the means of evaluating the data and comments from the consultation process on the Lawn Project as defined for the stage one bid."

So, Margaret, what will be the referendum question that requires only a YES/NO answer that will get you any closer to knowing how to save Dawlish? Don't forget also that a referendum costs money as TDC will have to hold it for us, unlike the consultation that cost only our time .
