So, did a tender go out for the newly built shop at the Warren? I am not aware that it did but happy to be corrected.

To be fair, it all happened so quickly and took everyone by surprise that they had done the first part of the work before any signs could have realistically been produced. Because it happened leading up to airshow day it proved to be a worst case scenario for the station manager and, to his credit, it was dealt with incredibly efficiently to ensure the safety of passengers on airshow day. There is ...

Hi Elvis, the reason the seats are missing under the canopy is because a large sink hole appeared on the platform last week. The seats had to be removed whilst the engineers worked to remedy the problem. They worked incredibly hard and managed to get the platform safe for airshow day but they are now continuing with the work. Once it is finished the benches will be back in place. I have ...

Thanks Lynne, I will request a copy.

DAWLISH CARNIVAL WEEK
15 Aug 2015

I honestly do not inderstand the gripes about this issue. The fair is a great attraction for our young (and old in my case) people  and is an asset to the carnival week. Mr Rowland does not have to come to Dawlish, there are plenty of other towns that would like the fair but don't get it! We should be glad that Mr Rowland continues to come to Dawlish because it does attract families. ...

The last I heard was although the wall will open this week the ceremonial opening will take place in September, date yet to be agreed.

@Lynne , i have submitted an foi to both dtc and tdc on this subject, i will let you know what i get back from them. if dtc failed to negotiate keeping the toilets open whilst the tendering process was going on then they have failed the public badly. dawlish warren was the busiest i have ever seen it yesterday and to see people queuing to use three portaloos was nothing short of a disgrace. to ...

@Mrs C, as Michael Clayson was the 'leader' of the independents it did have a bearing on my decision to stand. It is well documented on this forum that I did not stand this time because of my work and caring commitments. What was your reason for not standing? Maybe you are just another keyboard warrior!

Thanks Elvis! Actually Mrs C the truth is that Michael Clayson, and other independents, asked me to stand despite knowing my work commitments. Having been elected I did the best I could and, quite frankly, had some notable achievements. Friends of Dawlish Station is a fantastic group of people who meet whenever they need to regardless of whether I am available or not!

Yes, it's so frustrating missing council meetings due to work committments isn't it!
