The Dawlish Gazette print a then and now picture most weeks which are quite fascinating.  I subscribe to the online version of the Gazette and its nice to compare the photos.

@Spiral, my mother's water is really chlorinated and she lives in town and has to filter.  I live outside town and mine is fine.  It really does seem to depend where you live in Dawlish.

At around 7pm on Monday 24 September an 11-year-old boy was assaulted by a group of youths when on his own in Manor Gardens Park, Barton Terrace, Dawlish. It is understood that three teenage boys began shouting abuse at him, they then tripped him up, stamped on his leg and pushed him into the bushes causing some injuries. Sorry Nelson.  It came up as a new news item for some reason.  I didn't see the 2011. It will be interesting to see how Morrisons affects the existing traffic congestion around that area which can be a nightmare at times.
