Police were called with reports of around 40 cars causing a 'disturbance' at Sainsbury's in Dawlish, on Exeter Road.

Allegedly car windows were smashed during the incident, including those on a car with a child 'aged four or five' inside.

Following a search of the area a 24-year-old man from Bedford was arrested on suspicion of common assault.

These chavs have their pathetic car meets in lots of different towns. Their activities say more about the chavs than it does the unfortunate venues.

Why are people quick to say that Dawlish is going downhill? I grew up in the Midlands and Dawlish is not even close to going "downhill"

Compared to 1985 when i arrived here it has certainly gone downhill.

Has it actually gone downhill or is it the advent of social media and 24 hour news. I was a teenager when you moved down leatash and it definitely wasn't perfect then, just not as publicised.
