Has Graham Price been sacked yet? If not why not?
Why whats he done chaps. I presume you mean from the council
I do he called two members of the council twisted two faced b......s. How proffesional is that. All members should be treatd with respect by their co council colleagues. Disgraceful behaviour.
Graham Price he's bullet proof.
Believe I read in the Gaz a few weeks back that Linda and John Petherick have made an official complaint to TDC concerning his comments about them.
It appears he is bullet proof. Linda and John have had no response to their complaint. He appeared to disappear, and is now on holiday. As chairman of TDC I thought he needed to be contactable, but before his holiday no one seemed to know where he was. Very strange.
Then L & J P will need to pursue it then (if they so wish).
Yes, I highlighted this issue about three weeks ago and the discussion thread fizzled out.
I'll gladly repost the supporting email trail together with copies of Linda's and John's resignation letters should anyone wish to see them. Councillor Graham Price referred to Linda and John as 'Bastards' in an email, I suspect that his Tory Councillor colleagues have suggested that he should lay low for a while and hopefully it will all go away.
Linda and John have worked tirelessly for our town for six years, during that time they raised in the region of £20K for local charities it is very sad that they have seen the need to resign.
How come you have copies of Linda and John Petherick's resignation letters?
And how did you come into possession of the email trail in the first place?
You refer to the Petherick's by their first names - how do you know how much they raised for local charities?
Are you something to do with Dawlish Town Council? - you have a lot of inside knowledge.
As the resignation letters are the intellectual property of Linda and John Petherick surely it is perfectly feasible that Linda and John Petherick have let certain people in the town have sight of them.
Howsabout............. - Linda and John P enabled certain people in the town to have sight of their resignation letters by way of their having sent those certain people electronic copies? Does that answer your pedantic point?
Intriguing? Nah. I'd say it simply boils down to the fact that some of us were shown (as in received) certain docs and some of us weren't.
I'm not on facebook but I understand that those who are and who are 'friends' of the Pethericks have also been told about
what happened and why.
And on the matter of how much they have raised for local charities, I'm pretty certain that the newspaper article a few weeks back that reported on their resignations made mention of it.
So no intrigue there either then.
I'd hope that the investigation finds the Councillor guilty of misconduct given what was written on the email and if it does in fact refer to the Pethericks. However I think it would be foolish if someone published the letters on dawlish.com prior to the investigation being concluded as it could undermine the Petherick's position. Currently they have the moral authority over Price, so why jeapordize that by having their letters published now?
If the investigation results in an unsatisfactory outcome - then the Petherick's can consider disclosing the letters to the public.
@Likeablerat's original thread 'fizzled' out because they would not explain how they came into possession of the email trail, which they claimed was leaked.
And I find it unusual that someone would share electronic copies of a letter with others to do as they like whilst an official investigation is supposedly ongoing.
What format was it word? pdf? a scanned copy?
To 'show' and 'receive' aren't synonymous. So 'nah', it doesn't answer my 'pedantic point'. And 'howsabout' with an explanation ending in a question mark isn't convincing either.
so yes this is all very intriguing. council emails have been leaked yet nobody seems concerned. Based upon this thread; https://dawlish.com/thread/details/45520 @Likeablerat is someone called Roderick, who seemed predominantly concerned about the Lib Dems and cllr Wrigley vs the Tory Councillors which is a separate matter to the two former independent councillors' resignations.
I'll say this instead of Deedoodle.
Indy Scott this is Dawlish and this sort of thing goes on all the time i wouldn't lose any sleep over it as it will be the same in 20 years time it's just how it is.
Nice one @Lynne 'Yawn' is the best you can do, I'm sure you'll get many 'agrees' too from those of a similar ilk. Take a nap if you're tired.
Local politics in this town is so childish and tribal.
