Police searched the resort after a 30-year-old man suffered head injuries in collision with a car in Northumberland Place.

Police confirmed a 23-year-old man from the Dawlish area was arrested about 3am in the Landscore Road area of Teignnmouth. He was detained and taken to Torquay Police Station’s custody centre for questioning
