Just been looking at Exeter Airport's website and came across this job vacancy which I thought I'd post on here as we've been talking about jobs and associated things.

More info re hours and salary (wasn't published when I posted the info above)

Permanent position - 40 hpw - starting salary £14,000.00 per annum

£14k (£269pw) for a job like that? They are really taking the mick, and thats putting it politely.

Gordon Bennett, I was earning nearly that for a clerical job 20 years ago! Mind you took redundancy because it was a pig of a job!

Have checked the job again. It's a vacancy for an Air Traffic Control Assistant (as in being an assistant to the air traffic controllers) as opposed to it being a vacancy for an Assistant Air Traffic Controller (which is what I originally typed).

The placing of that word 'assistant' does, actually, make an awful lot of difference.
