Two of Dawlish pubs the Lansdowne and the South Devon Inn will soon be offering a cool new drink endorsed by the police.

It is hoped by offering water to drink between sessions will help to reduce the effects of over-indulging and its associated habits of anti-social behaviour, violent crime and domestic abuse.

47 dispensers in the county have been paid for by nearly £12,000 funding by police, health and drug and drink action groups.

YER YOU CAN USE THE WATER TO WASH OFF THE BLOOD WHEN YOU GET INTO A FIGHT.

£12000 for 47 taps, there must be some very happy plumbers out there. Hasn't this story been 'leaked' early, ie should have been 1st April.

The only way water will prevent violent crime is when it comes out of a water cannon.
